Build Your Evidence-Based Recovery Plan
- We have plenty of time to discuss your pain, giving you the space to tell your story, explaining symptoms, voicing concerns and asking any questions.
- A full, in-depth musculoskeletal and neurological examination is performed.
- A summary of your diagnosis, how long we would expect the condition to last and a management plan is agreed. This evidence based approach to management can involve manual therapy, specialist spinal rehabilitation, lifestyle advice and general exercise advice. The treatment will be individualised and tailored to your specific needs.
In the event we are not the right service for you we will provide a GP letter or referral to a specialist service without added cost. Due to our work in the NHS we have built great relationships with local providers and fully understand NHS pathways, making sure you’re seen by the right service promptly.
Questions,
Answered With Clarity
Where can I park?
There is free visitor parking at Red Hill House and if it is taken staff parking has been made available for our patients.
What is the difference between an osteopath and a physiotherapist?
From a musculoskeletal perspective, there is considerable overlap between osteopathy and physiotherapy, with the main distinction often being the professional title rather than the approach. Many osteopaths incorporate exercise-based rehabilitation, while many physiotherapists use hands-on manual techniques. At Chester Osteo and Physio, our osteopaths have extensive experience working in traditional NHS physiotherapy roles and now collaborate closely with physiotherapists to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Do I need an osteopathy appointment or a physio appointment?
At present our physiotherapist only works virtually so if a face to face appointment is preferred please book an osteopathy consultation.
Will I have to go up stairs?
No, our clinic room is located on the ground floor meaning no stairs.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No you can book an appointment without having seen your GP as all of our staff are trained as first contact clinicians.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment online, via e-mail info@chester-osteo-physio.co.uk or telephone 07541092579
Do you offer same-day or urgent appointments?
Yes it is normally possible to book a same day appointment and if no availability shows online please give us a call on 07561700361 and we will do our best to accommodate you.
What should I wear at my first appointment?
The best type of clothing to wear to any appointment are ones that allow free movement. During a lower limb appointment for the knee or hip it is helpful to wear shorts or bring a pair to change into. For neck, shoulder and back issues please wear a vest or if comfortable prepared to remove your top so we can assess the area. If at any point during your appointment you donāt want to remove an item of clothing, you donāt have to and the appointment will continue as normal.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept most private insurance schemes. WPA, AVIVA, AXA and VITALITY cover osteopathy but individual policies may vary. Some insurance companies require a referral from your doctor. Should you like to be treated under insurance cover, please contact your insurer to find out their requirements and notify us when making your booking.
